POM, polyoxymethylene, polyacetal

POM is a hard, stiff and tough plastic, with low friction and excellent wear and creep resistance over a broad temperature range. The low glass transition temperatures, -40 C for the homopolymer and -60 C for the copolymer make them tough even at very low temperatures. Top continuous service temperature is 90-105 C (POM-H) and 100-115 (POM-C), short term ca 150 C (POM-H) and 140 C (POM-C). POM has excellent machinability.
