ECTFE, poly(ethylene-chlorotrifluoroethylene)

Compolymers of chloro trifluoroethylene and ethylene (normally 1:1) give a good balance of properties and a wide use spectrum. The melting point of ECTFE is ca 240 C and the continuous service temperaure is from cryogenic to 150-170 C. ECTFE has somewhat less spectacular properties than PCTFE, but i.e. dielectric constant and loss factor are lower and less frequency dependent. The resistance to UV and other energetic radiation is very good.
